Composition
Launched in 2002 as the female counterpart to Jeans Couture Man, this Floral Fruity fragrance opens on orange blossom and plum. The heart is freesia, iris and jasmine, settling into sandalwood, heliotrope, musk and vetiver. It came in a yellow shiny bottle designed with Donatella Versace's help.
This smells like college in the best years — orange blossom and plum opening bright and juicy, like a fruit stall outside the campus gate, and then the heart blooms easy and pretty: jasmine, freesia, iris, the kind of florals that don't try too hard. It is the female counterpart to Jeans Couture Man, and it has that whole early-2000s casual-cool energy. Sandalwood, heliotrope, musk, and vetiver in the base keep it soft and powdery and close. It is not trying to be a masterpiece; it is trying to be the scent of good days. And it is. Beginner-friendly.
