Composition
Italica, from Xerjoff's Casamorati 1888 collection, is a gourmand eau de parfum. It opens with saffron, Sicilian almond and milk, reveals bourbon vanilla and toffee in the heart, and settles into sandalwood and white musk.
To me this smells like the inside of the world's best pasticceria — saffron golden in the first breath, almond sweet and marzipan-rich, milk creamy and warm like it's just been steamed. Then bourbon vanilla and toffee arrive, dark and buttery, melting together like the center of a perfect praline. Sandalwood and white musk at the base are soft wood and clean skin. It is the most luxurious gourmand in existence, and it tastes as good as it smells — almost. Beginner-friendly.
