Scent story

To me this is a beach shack in Goa after the crowd has thinned. Exotic fruits — mango, pineapple, whatever the bartender had — still sticky on the wooden counter, and frangipani flowers fallen into the sand under the table. It smells like the best part of a holiday: unhurried, a little sunburned, laughing too much. Then honey and vanilla and sandalwood settle in, warm skin after a swim. It's tropical but never cheap, sweet but never cloying. The kind of scent that makes strangers lean in a little closer. Beginner-friendly.
