Composition
Launched in 2016, Illicit Flower is a citrus eau de toilette for women. Mandarin Orange and Apricot shape the opening, leading into a heart of Grapefruit Blossom and Rose. The dry-down rests on Musk and Cashmere Wood.
To me this smells like flirting at a rooftop party — mandarin and apricot juicy in the first breath, grapefruit blossom sparkling like the drinks. Rose and jasmine bloom through it, freesia light and mischievous, pear sweet at the edges. Musk and cashmere wood underneath are warm skin and soft fabric — the feeling of someone standing a little too close. It is playful and a little wicked, and it knows it. Benzoin's resinous warmth is the mischief underneath all that fruit. Beginner-friendly.
