Composition
The 2020 Love Edition of Gucci Guilty Pour Homme. Kumquat, ginger, mandarin orange and pink pepper open over lavender, rosemary and geranium, grounded in vetiver, patchouli and benzoin. An aromatic citrus limited edition for Valentine's 2020.
A love letter written in citrus. Kumquat and mandarin burst juicy and bright, ginger and pink pepper add a flirtatious sting, lavender and rosemary smell like a herb garden in Provence. Vetiver, patchouli and benzoin dry it down warm and a little bit wicked. It is fresh but not boring — the spice keeps it interesting, the woods keep it masculine. The rosemary is the detail I keep coming back to — herbal, almost medicinal, cutting through the citrus like a cool hand on a warm forehead. Benzoin warms the drydown into something resinous and quietly sensual. Beginner-friendly.
