Composition
Launched in 2006. Violet, orange oil and magnolia petals open over Bulgarian rose and heliotrope, with patchouli, vanilla and sandalwood in the base. A powdery floral with a sweet, woody drydown.
To me this smells like a powder room in a 1960s film — all pastel and possibility. Violet and heliotrope, powdery as face powder in a pretty compact; magnolia petals and Bulgarian rose, soft and pink; orange oil sparkling through like laughter. Vanilla and sandalwood warm the base like old wood and warm skin, with patchouli just grounding it. It's retro-feminine in the best way — not old-fashioned, but timeless, like red lipstick and a good exit. Sweet, powdery, utterly charming. Beginner-friendly.
