Edict Ouddiction is a woody-spicy extrait de parfum for women and men from Afnan's Edict collection, launched in 2022. It opens with agarwood (oud), lavender, saffron and bergamot, develops tobacco, sandalwood, cedar, tonka bean and geranium in the heart, and settles into leather, Brazilian rosewood, vetiver, amber and patchouli.
Scent story
The name is a warning and it's accurate. Agarwood oud dominates — deep, dark, animalic — with tobacco smoke curling through it and leather darkening every edge. Saffron and bergamot try to lift it; lavender and geranium try to civilize it. Sandalwood, cedar, vetiver and amber just make the darkness richer. This is oud for people who find most ouds too polite. Approach with respect. The rosewood adds a rosy, woody sweetness — like the oud has a soft side it's ashamed of. It doesn't. This is darkness, and it knows exactly what it is. Not for beginners — beginners stay away.
