Grapefruit, bergamot, pink pepper, apple and mandarin open crisp and sparkling, cardamom, lavender, saffron, orris, rose and jasmine spice the heart, and oud essence, vetiver, oakmoss and sandalwood settle the smooth, mossy base.
Scent story
To me this is a rose garden in a desert palace — grapefruit and bergamot and mandarin like iced drinks served at noon, pink pepper and apple sharp on the breeze. Then the heart blooms enormous: cardamom, lavender, saffron, orris, rose and jasmine layered like carpets in a durbar hall. The base is where the oud essence lives — smoky, animalic, ancient — held in check by vetiver, oakmoss, sandalwood, cedarwood and vanilla. Extrait strength, imperial attitude. A fragrance that does not enter rooms; it annexes them. Not for beginners — beginners stay away.
