Composition
Delphinus is a 2024 Millésime Eau de Parfum from Creed, a universal woody-amber inspired by the Delphinus constellation. Smoky incense and black and pink pepper open over almond, heliotrope, orchid and precious orris butter, drying down to patchouli, tonka, amberwood, leather and Bourbon vanilla from Madagascar. Cosmic, opulent and warm.
Delphinus smells like a night sky over the desert — incense smoke curling upward, peppered with sparks of pink pepper, while almond and heliotrope glow softly like distant stars. The orris butter is the star of the show, powdery and rooty and impossibly smooth, and the Bourbon vanilla and leather in the base make it feel like being wrapped in a warm shawl under actual stars. It is rich and will project; in India, save it for winter evenings and festive nights when its warmth becomes a virtue. Not for beginners — this is for the collector who wants Creed's most dramatic recent composition.
