Composition
The third member of the Gianni Versace Couture collection launched in 2014, Couture Violet was developed by Alexandra Kosinski. Powdery violet is joined by mimosa, musk and heliotrope for an ultra-glamorous, powdery floral. The bottle is dressed in violet nappa leather with stitched Greek motifs.
To me this smells like violet nappa leather and old Hollywood — violet first, powdery and regal, mimosa adding a soft yellow glow like footlights, heliotrope sweetening it like almond powder. Musk wraps it all in something clean and close, like the inside of a vintage handbag. Ultra-glamorous, powdery, unapologetically feminine — the Gianni Versace Couture collection's violet hour. A powder compact and a red lip, rendered in scent. Elegance with a wink. Kosinski dressed it in violet nappa leather — powder, glamour, Greek-key attitude. Beginner-friendly.
