Composition
A tropical escape by Pierre Montale from the 2016 Christmas collection: coconut and white peach open into tiare flower, ylang-ylang and jasmine, over Madagascar vanilla, white musk and woody notes.
To me this smells like a Goan beach shack that only serves dessert. Coconut and white peach open creamy and tropical — the exact smell of sunscreen and fruit juice and salt air. Then the tiare flower arrives — the flower they make monoi oil from — with ylang-ylang and jasmine, white petals crushed into coconut oil. Madagascar vanilla pours over everything like condensed milk, white musk keeping it soft, woody notes giving it a little backbone. It is a holiday in a bottle, and it lasts like one too — Mancera performance means this tropical escape follows you all day. Beginner-friendly.
