Composition
Chanel No 19 Poudreby Chanelis a Floral Woody Musk fragrance for women.Chanel No 19 Poudrewas launched in 2011. The nose behind this fragrance is Jacques Polge. Top notes are Galbanum, Neroli and Mandarin Orange; middle notes are Iris and Jasmine; base notes are Vetiver, Musk and Tonka Bean.
Galbanum and neroli open green and bright, then the iris takes over, powdery and cool, like face powder in a vintage compact. Jasmine softens it, and vetiver, musk, and tonka bean settle underneath, earthy and warm, like a well-loved cashmere sweater. It smells like elegance from another era, refined and a little distant. The powder here is soft, not stuffy, like talc on warm skin. A quiet classic. A safe blind buy for most people.
