Composition
A Private Blend from the 2012 Jardin Noir collection, created by Antoine Lie. Saffron, black pepper and May rose open it; Turkish rose, Bulgarian rose and coffee form the heart; incense, amber, sandalwood and patchouli ground the base. A dark, exotic rose built around the collection's theme of forbidden flowers.
This smells like a forbidden garden behind a locked door. Saffron and black pepper snap dark over May rose — spice and thorn — and then the heart opens onto Turkish and Bulgarian roses drowned in black coffee, dark as midnight and twice as intense. Incense smoke rises through amber, sandalwood and patchouli like something burning in a temple after hours. It's from the Jardin Noir collection — the garden of forbidden flowers — and it earns the name: dark, exotic, and utterly uncompromising. A masterpiece that demands a strong wrist.
