Composition
Boss Bottled Oud, launched in 2015, is an oriental eau de parfum for men. Apple and citruses open the scent, with cinnamon, saffron, clove and labdanum at the heart. Agarwood (oud), sandalwood and cypriol oil form the dry-down.
To me this smells like the office version of a dare. It opens like the Boss you know — apple, citrus, easy — and then the door swings shut behind you: saffron, clove, cinnamon, a wall of warm spice, and oud rising underneath, dark and resinous, with nagarmotha's earthy smoke curling around it. Labdanum and sandalwood try to keep it boardroom-polite, but the oud won't be managed. It hums under the suit like a secret. Wear it to a meeting and half the room leans in; the other half wonders what happened. That's the point. Not for beginners — beginners stay away.
