Composition
A Private Blend oriental-vanilla launched in October 2020. Peach, blood orange, cardamom and heliotrope open it; rum, cognac, davana and jasmine form the heart; the base is vanilla, Indonesian patchouli leaf, tonka bean, sandalwood, benzoin, cashmeran, labdanum, styrax and vetiver. Sweet ripe peach wrapped in boozy, woody warmth.
To me this smells like a peach that grew up in a bar — juicy and golden up top with blood orange and cardamom, and then rum and cognac soaking through the heart, boozy and warm, with davana adding its strange fruity-herbal shimmer and jasmine keeping it floral. The vanilla, tonka, benzoin and sandalwood base is pure Private Blend opulence, with patchouli and labdanum keeping it dark at the edges. Decadent, a little dangerous, and completely addictive. The davana is the weird genius here — it makes the peach smell almost fermented, like fruit at the exact peak of ripeness. Beginner-friendly.
