Composition
Baiser Volé Lys Rose by Cartier is a floral fragrance for women launched in summer 2014 by Mathilde Laurent. Centered on a pink lily enriched with raspberry, it is fresher and sweeter than its predecessors, emphasizing the powdery, delicate character of the original. Notes include pink lily, rose, raspberry, galbanum and vanilla. It was released as 50 and 100 ml eau de toilette.
To me this smells like biting into a fresh raspberry in a flower shop — the fruit bright and almost tart at first, galbanum's green snap behind it like cut stems on wet newspaper. Then the lily and rose open wide, pink and dewy, petals so close you can smell the water they were in this morning. The vanilla at the base is barely there, just a soft warmth like sunlight through a shop window. It is romantic without being heavy, sweet without being candy. Beginner-friendly.
