Composition
Ange ou Démon Tendre is a Chypre Floral fragrance for women launched in 2007, created by Olivier Cresp as a softer, more radiant version of the 2006 original. It captures Calabrian mandarin, lily-of-the-valley and neroli/orange blossom in the top, a floral heart of lily, peony and heliotrope, with patchouli and Brazilian rosewood dominating the base.
To me this smells like an angel who decided to be nice today — Calabrian mandarin and lily-of-the-valley sparkling first, orange blossom glowing white and warm, and then lily, peony and heliotrope unfolding soft as a powder puff. Brazilian rosewood and patchouli ground it gently, like the shadow that proves the light. The softer, more radiant sister of the original — a chypre floral with its edges sanded to silk. Tenderness, bottled. Olivier Cresp's softer take on the 2006 original — the angel wins this round, tenderly. Beginner-friendly.
