Composition
Junoon Noir by Al Haramain is an eau de parfum for women, launched in 2016. It opens with Lime and Kumquat; the heart features Orris, Jasmine, Lily of the Valley and Violet; and the base is Sandalwood, Cedar, Vanilla and Musk. The composition reads predominantly citrus, floral and woody.
To me this is a lime garden at midnight — lime and kumquat bright as moonlight, then orris and jasmine and lily of the valley and violet, white flowers glowing in the dark. The base is sandalwood and cedar and vanilla and musk, warm and smooth, like the path back to the house. It is passion in the dark: citrus, floral, and completely enchanting. Junoon, indeed. Kumquat pops tiny and bright against the dark florals. Violet goes powdery-dark among the night flowers. Beginner-friendly.
