Composition
212 Eau de Toilette by Carolina Herrera, launched in 1997. A floral woody musk fragrance for women. It combines orange blossom, cactus flower, bergamot and mandarin with a heart of lily, freesia, gardenia, jasmine, white camellia, rose and peony, settling on musk and sandalwood.
To me this smells like a white dress on a spring morning. Orange blossom and bergamot sparkle at first, mandarin juicy and bright, with that strange green cactus-flower freshness underneath. Then the whole flower shop arrives — lily, freesia, gardenia, jasmine, white camellia, rose, peony — a bouquet carried through clean city air. It settles into soft musk and sandalwood, like the memory of the flowers still on your skin at dusk. Light, modern, quietly joyful. Hard to go wrong with this one.
