Scent story

To me it smells like walking into a five-star hotel lobby in December and not understanding why everyone is staring. Saffron opens it — metallic, honeyed, strange — with jasmine glowing white beside it, and then the amberwood hits: mineral, airy, like burnt sugar and cold stone at the same time. Fir resin and cedar ground it in something warm and balsamic. XLNC's take on MFK's Baccarat Rouge 540 has that same intoxicating weirdness — it doesn't smell like anything else, and people will either follow you or avoid you.
