Velvet Rose & Oud is the gentlest possible introduction to oud — a dark red rose dipped in something sweet, with the oud kept on a very short, very polite leash. It smells like a box of expensive chocolates left open next to a bouquet: praline, petals, and just a whisper of dark wood underneath.
