Scent story

To me this smells like vanilla that has seen things. The opening is all smoke and resin — myrrh and olibanum burning in a dark room, saffron and coriander adding a strange golden spice — before the roasted barley and coffee arrive, dark and bitter as a French roast. The Madagascar vanilla is there, but it is not the vanilla of cupcakes; it is vanilla in a mahogany library, with suede and tobacco, narcissus and frangipani adding a narcotic floral edge. Dark, smoky, dangerously good. Not for beginners — beginners stay away.
