Composition
Vain & Naïve is a fruity-floral extrait that opens with orange and bergamot. Its heart blends raspberry, plum, rose, jasmine and cedar, settling into sandalwood, tonka bean, musk, amber, benzoin and patchouli.
To me this smells like a love letter written in fruit and flowers — orange and bergamot bright in the first breath, raspberry and plum juicy and sweet, rose and jasmine blooming softly behind them. Cedar adds a dry, elegant line underneath, like good handwriting. Sandalwood, tonka, musk, and amber at the base are warm skin and golden light. It is romantic without being naive — vain, maybe, but never foolish. Benzoin's warm resin is the devotion underneath the vanity. Beginner-friendly.
