Composition
A creamy oriental-woody by Maurice Roucel: orange blossom, lavender and mint open onto an unusual heart of vanilla, lily-of-the-valley and cedar, drying down to sandalwood, amber, patchouli and musk. A mature, powdery take on the A*Men style.
To me this smells like the ghats at dawn before the crowds, orange blossom, lavender, mint and bergamot clean over wet stone. And then the middle opens: vanilla, lily of the valley and cedar, warm and unhurried, like a second act. The cedar keeps peeking through, rich without shouting. The base of sandalwood, amber, patchouli and musk arrives last, like a memory you can't place, and refuses to leave. It smells like the calm after the celebration, bottled. Beginner-friendly — crowd-pleasing without trying too hard.
