Composition
From Gucci's Alchemist's Garden collection, launched in 2019. Violet extract leads into iris petals, with musk and vanilla in the base. A powdery violet-iris composition.
To me this smells like opening a lacquered vanity box that hasn't been touched in forty years. A puff of violet face powder rises off an old powder puff, and beneath it the cool, buttery smell of iris petals pressed between the pages of a diary. It's soft and hushed, like a woman in a violet silk sari moving quietly through a room full of afternoon light. Later it settles into skin-warmed musk and the faintest trace of vanilla — the ghost of violet pastilles in a silver tin. Nothing here shouts; everything whispers. Beginner-friendly.
