The Only One is dessert and danger — violet and bergamot bright, then coffee and iris melting into caramel-vanilla and patchouli. To me it smells like an Italian café at night: espresso steam, a slice of something sweet, red lipstick on the cup, the evening just beginning. It is gourmand but grown-up — the coffee keeps the sweetness from ever being childish, the iris adds a powdery elegance. The scent of a woman who orders dessert first. Beginners will enjoy this one — sweet, warm, and deliciously wearable.
