Composition
Tabarome Millesime is an aromatic-fougere eau de parfum for men by Olivier Creed, launched in 2000. Created for a British statesman fond of brandy and fine cigars, it opens with tangerine and bergamot, reveals a ginger heart, and settles into tobacco, sandalwood, ambergris, leather and patchouli.
To me this smells like a private members' club at midnight. Tangerine and bergamot open bright — a digestif served cold — with ginger adding a sharp, expensive spice. Then the real business begins: tobacco, dark and leathery, the smell of a fine cigar just lit; sandalwood creamy underneath; ambergris salty and warm; leather like the club's armchairs; patchouli darkening the corners. It was made for a British statesman who loved brandy and cigars, and it smells exactly like him: powerful, old-money, and completely unbothered. Not for beginners — beginners stay away.
