Shaghaf Oud Abyad is a 2018 unisex Eau de Parfum from Swiss Arabian in the Shaghaf line. A Woody Spicy fragrance that opens on oregano, pimento seeds and bergamot, with a resinous heart of myrrh, opoponax, olibanum and amber, settling into smoke, agarwood oud, leather, sandalwood and patchouli. A smoky incense-oud for cooler nights.
Scent story
Abyad means white, but the scent is smoke. Piquant pepper and oregano snap open the top over zesty bergamot, then frankincense smoke rolls in — this is luban burning in a mabkhara, unmistakable. Myrrh and amber deepen the heart while leather and sandalwood ground the dry-down under a golden oud crown. It's resinous, balsamic, slightly sweet, and very long-wearing. Made for winter nights in India; it'll fill a room. Beginners: the smoke and spice make this a challenging blind buy — sample it first, ideally at night.
