Composition
A balsamic-amber Eau de Parfum from L'Oeuvre Noire's "The End" chapter, pairing cinnamon, myrrh and opoponax with benzoin, incense and vanilla. Composed by Calice Becker.
Bergamot and orange blossom open bright, then cinnamon, myrrh and opoponax pull it into dark resinous territory — like incense smoke in an old church. Benzoin and vanilla sweeten the dry-down into something warm and contemplative. A winter-evening scent for slow nights; too heavy for Indian summers. For experienced noses who love incense and balsams.
