Composition
Sultan Vetiver is an extrait built around three vetiver origins. It opens with Java vetiver, absinthe, schinus molle and bergamot, layers Bourbon and Haitian vetiver with neroli and tonka bean in the heart, and finishes on Brazilian vetiver, amberwood and leather.
Four kinds of vetiver walk into a bar. Java vetiver is dark and smoky, Bourbon is rich and earthy, Haitian is green and bright, Brazilian ties them together — with absinthe adding a bitter green edge and schinus molle snapping pink pepper over the top. Then the leather arrives: dark, worn, unmistakable, with amberwood and tonka warming the shadows. It is vetiver as a religion. Green, earthy, and utterly uncompromising. The neroli is the bright citrus spark over all that green darkness — like sun through leaves. Tonka warms the base like a low fire. It is vetiver, perfected. Not for beginners — beginners stay away.
