Composition
An oriental-vanilla gourmand eau de parfum for women from Maison Alhambra. Caramel and vanilla open with dessert-like richness, sugar, milk cream, tonka bean and coconut sweeten the heart, and amber, musk and sandalwood settle the warm base.
This is a halwai's shop during Diwali — caramel bubbling in a giant kadhai, vanilla and sugar thick in the air, milk cream reducing down to something golden and impossible. Tonka and coconut drift through like the smell of mithai cooling on brass trays. It is unapologetically sweet, the kind of gourmand that makes people lean in closer rather than step back. Amber and musk in the base keep it from being one-dimensional; sandalwood adds a whisper of woodsmoke under all that sugar, like the bhatti fire still burning under the sweets. Dessert you can wear.
