Composition
Spring Flower is a floral-fruity eau de parfum for women by Olivier Creed and Pierre Bourdon, released to the public in 1996 after being made as the signature scent of Audrey Hepburn. It opens with apple, melon and peach, develops jasmine and rose in the heart, and settles into musk and ambergris.
To me this smells like the garden Audrey Hepburn must have walked through every morning. Apple, melon and peach open like a fruit bowl in sunlight — juicy, dewy, impossibly fresh. Then the flowers arrive the way they do in a real garden: jasmine first, sweet and heady, then rose, lush and pink, the two of them tangling together in the warm air. Musk and ambergris settle underneath like clean skin after a morning outdoors — soft, warm, barely there. It was her private signature for years before the public ever smelled it, and you can tell. This is not a perfume performing; this is just what spring smells like on someone lovely. Beginner-friendly.
