Composition
Selection Verte is a citrus-aromatic eau de parfum for women and men by Henry Creed, launched in 1901 as part of Creed's Private Collection. It opens with citruses, neroli and pepper, develops mint and herbal notes in the heart, and settles into an ambergris base.
To me this is a cold glass of something green on a hot afternoon. Citruses and neroli burst bright, pepper snapping underneath, then mint and herbal notes crash in like a mojito without the rum. The ambergris base is just a whisper, salty skin warmth holding the freshness a little longer. It is 1901 in a bottle and somehow still modern: crisp, green, effortlessly clean. Nothing here will scare anyone; it is the rare vintage Creed that smells like morning. Beginner-friendly.
