I get a carnival-night feeling — Cinnamon, warm and fiery and bitter almond, sharp and darkly sweet spun-sugar sweet and glowing under string lights. After the bright opening, Jasmine, heady and white, pomarose, fruity-rosy warmth and akigalawood, dry and peppery-woody take over, and everything grows warmer and more rounded. It feels like the lights dimming to a golden glow. Underneath it all, Vanilla absolute, deep and boozy, golden amber, warm and glowing and tonka bean, creamy and sweet hum low and steady, holding the composition together. It is equal parts comfort and confidence, and it never tries too hard. Beginner-friendly — a gentle introduction to the house.
