Composition
La Yuqawam Homme by Rasasi is an eau de parfum for men, launched in 2012. It opens with Raspberry, Saffron and Thyme; the heart features Olibanum, Jasmine and Artemisia; and the base is Leather, Suede, Woody Notes and Amber. The composition reads predominantly leather, fruity and sweet.
To me this smells like a leather-bound book of love poetry left in a berry orchard — raspberry and saffron bright and strange, thyme and artemisia wild and herbal, olibanum smoking like a censer. Jasmine flickers white through the dark, and then the leather takes over: worn, warm, animalic, with suede softening the edges. Woody notes and amber hold it all together, dark and golden. It is opulent and untamed — Rasasi at its most baroque. Not for beginners — beginners stay away.
