Composition
Dhaneloudh Combodi by Rasasi is a perfume oil unisex. It opens with Agarwood (Oud) and Precious Woods; the heart features Agarwood (Oud); and the base is Agarwood (Oud), Amber and Musk. The composition reads predominantly oud, woody and musky.
This is oud in its purest commercial form: an oil, and it behaves like one. Agarwood and precious woods open dark and concentrated, and then more agarwood — the heart is just more oud, deeper and more resinous — and the base is agarwood again with amber and musk, warm and animalic and endless. It smells like the inside of a very old wooden chest. As an oil it sits close but lasts forever, a warm woody hum on the skin. There's no development, no story arc — just oud, oud, oud. If you want to know what oud actually smells like, this is the textbook. The textbook is not for beginners. Not for beginners — beginners stay away.
