Scent story

This is oud chips on hot coal under blue smoke — oud first, deep and resinous, ylang and osmanthus adding a strange floral sweetness over the top, like flowers thrown on a fire. Pink pepper sparks through; leather and musk turn it dark and animalic. Virginian cedar, sandalwood, saffron, and tobacco in the base build the smokehouse — wood, spice, and dried leaves, all smoldering. It smells like midnight in a majlis where the stories get wilder as the night goes on. Blue by name, pitch black by nature. Not for beginners — beginners stay away.
