Composition
Polo Supreme Oud is Ralph Lauren's 2015 Eau de Parfum for men, the first masculine EDP in the Polo Supreme line, created by Carlos Benaïm. Pink pepper and cinnamon open over a smoky Indian oud heart, settling on guaiac wood and vetiver. It arrives in a black lacquered Polo bottle with gold lettering and a gold cap.
The opening is all spice — pink pepper and cinnamon, warm and festive like a Diwali bazaar. Then the oud arrives: smoky, woody and luxurious but approachable, never harsh or barnyard. The base of guaiac wood and vetiver is dry, elegant and long-lasting, like incense smoke on a tailored jacket. In India this is a superb winter and wedding-season fragrance — formal, opulent, distinctly masculine. The oud makes it feel grown-up, so it is better as a second or third fragrance than a first. Moderate beginner-friendliness: easy to like if you enjoy woods and spices, but the price and formality are real commitments.
