Composition
Lattafa's Aventus-style take within the Oud Mood line: juicy bergamot, apple and pineapple burst fruity and smoky-sweet, a heart of rose, dry birch, Moroccan jasmine and patchouli adds leathery-floral depth, and musk, oakmoss, vanilla and ambergris settle into a bold, confident, long-lasting dry-down. Rich, masculine-leaning and unmistakably a crowd-pleaser.
To me this smells like the juice bar near college, bergamot, apple and pineapple blitzed with ice at full volume. Underneath, rose, birch, patchouli and Moroccan jasmine start to melt, rounded and full. There is a thread of Moroccan jasmine running under everything, warm and unhurried. The drydown is all musk, oakmoss, vanilla and ambergris, rounded, never sharp. Some perfumes decorate you; this one feels like a warm kitchen and an open door. Beginner-friendly.
