Composition
A contemporary interpretation of oud from the Black Gold Project collection. Bergamot opens over a heart of praline and black pepper, on a base of oud, vanilla, cedarwood, guaiac wood and sandalwood.
To me this smells like oud learning manners. Bergamot opens bright and polished — a clean handshake — and then praline arrives, nutty and sweet, with black pepper sparking through like wit. The oud is there, deep in the base, but it has been tamed: wrapped in vanilla, smoothed by cedarwood and guaiac wood and sandalwood, sweetened until it purrs instead of growls. A contemporary oud for people who thought oud was not for them. Grace, as promised — the wild thing, house-trained. Beginner-friendly.
