Composition
An iconic oriental eau de parfum for women and men from Ahmed Al Maghribi. Mandarin and bergamot wrapped in juicy red fruits with a refined boozy nuance open bright, cedar wood and patchouli deepen the woody heart, and musk, benzoin, vanilla and a bakhoor accord settle the warm, serene base.
To me this smells like a majlis in Dubai during Ramadan nights — low cushions, brass trays, and bakhoor smoke rolling off a mabkhara in the corner. The opening is almost festive: boozy red fruits and mandarin, like spiced sharbat served to guests, bright against the smoke. Then the classic part arrives — cedar and patchouli, benzoin resin glowing like coals, vanilla rounding the edges. The bakhoor accord never leaves; it's in your clothes, your hair, the curtains. This is oud for people who grew up with oud, the smell of hospitality turned up to eleven. Not for beginners — beginners stay away.
