Composition
A traditional oriental alcohol-free perfume oil for women and men from Al Rehab. Hindi oud strikes bold at the opening, rose and florals bloom in the heart, and amber settles the warm, long-lasting base.
This is not a perfume you wear. It's a perfume you submit to. I put one drop on and the room changes — Hindi-style oud, dark and animalic and medicinal, rising like smoke off a coal. Floral notes try to sweeten it, rose tries to soften it, amber tries to warm it, but the oud doesn't negotiate. It smells like the inside of a very old attar shop in Old Delhi, where the bottles haven't been opened in forty years and the air itself is saturated. As an oil it lasts forever and projects like a rumor. This is the real thing, unblended and unapologetic. If you've never smelled pure oud, start somewhere gentler. This is the deep end. Not for beginners — beginners stay away.
