Composition
Miracle Homme L'Aquatonic is a masculine eau de toilette from Lancôme, launched in 2003. It opens with Bitter Orange, Violet and Lemon. The heart reveals Fern, Rhubarb Leaf and Coriander settling into a base of Vetiver, Guaiac Wood, Brazilian Rosewood and Cedar. Its character is defined by Aromatic, Woody and Citrus accords.
To me this is a cold swim in a mountain lake — bitter orange and violet and lemon like the shock of the water, then fern and rhubarb leaf and coriander, green and strange, like the plants at the bottom. The base is vetiver and guaiac wood and Brazilian rosewood and cedar, woody and clean, the smell of a wooden dock. It is the aquatic genre with a brain — green, woody, and completely distinctive. A hidden gem. Rhubarb leaf adds a strange green tartness to the water. Beginner-friendly.
