Watery NotesFrom LV's debut 2016 collection — a study in contrasts pairing dark patchouli and agarwood oud with syrupy blackcurrant, then cutting the darkness with white flowers: rose, jasmine sambac, narcissus and cyclamen. Smoky, floral and enigmatic.
To me this smells like syrupy blackcurrant poured over dark wood — then the oud rises, deep and smoky, with patchouli brooding underneath. White flowers cut through: rose, jasmine sambac, narcissus and cyclamen, luminous against the dark. Benzoin and incense smolder at the edges, enigmatic and unresolving. It is LV's 2016 study in contrasts: darkness and light, held in tension. Not for beginners — beginners stay away.
