To me this smells like the best bakery counter in town, the one with the cherry bakewell tarts. Bitter almond hits first — marzipan-rich, unmistakable — then black cherry jam floods in, dark and glossy, with toffee and tonka bean caramelizing around the edges like a perfect pastry crust. Amber and Peru balsam keep it warm for hours, like the smell of the bakery following you home on your coat. Pure comfort, zero pretense — the scent equivalent of being handed something warm. Beginner-friendly.
