Notes
A Private Blend oriental launched in November 2018, created by Louise Turner. Sour cherry, bitter almond and liquor open the scent; the heart adds sour cherry, plum, Turkish rose and jasmine sambac; the base blends tonka bean, vanilla, Peru balsam, cinnamon, benzoin, sandalwood, cloves, cedar, patchouli and vetiver. Candy-like cherry set against a warm balsamic-woody drydown.
Scent story
To me this smells like a cherry orchard at midnight — sour cherries crushed underfoot, bitter almond sharp as a secret, a splash of liquor warming everything. Plum and Turkish rose darken the heart, and tonka, vanilla, and Peru balsam underneath are the wooden crates, sticky and sweet. The Peru balsam and benzoin are dark resinous sweetness, like the inside of an old apothecary drawer, and the cloves spark through — cherry, but make it dangerous. Tom Ford's most delicious trouble: boozy, dark, and dangerously wearable. One spray and you are the interesting one at the party. Beginner-friendly.
