L'Interdit Eau de Toilette is a floral woody musk fragrance for women launched in 2019. A lighter, elegant edition of the 2018 Eau de Parfum, it opens with poppy flowers promising dry, earthy and floral aromas, with tuberose and orange blossom leading the forbidden flower heart intensified by musk, over a woodsy base of patchouli and vetiver.
Scent story
To me this smells like forbidden flowers after dark — poppy opening dry and earthy and a little dangerous, then tuberose and orange blossom blooming white and heady in the middle, intensified by musk until it hums. Patchouli and vetiver ground it woody and green underneath. It is the lighter, more elegant L'Interdit: all the white-flower drama of the original, but sheered out like chiffon. Dangerous, but politely. Poppy opens dry and papery, like the flower itself — beautiful and faintly illicit. Beginner-friendly.
