Composition
L'Interdit Eau de Parfum Rouge is a 2021 flanker of Givenchy's L'Interdit for women. It keeps the signature tuberose heart but ignites it with ginger, blood orange and pimento leaf over a sandalwood, patchouli and vetiver base. It is the spicier, bolder sister of the original.
Take the original L'Interdit's white-floral glamour and add a shot of adrak-chai spice — that's Rouge. It opens with fiery ginger and blood orange, like a spiced cocktail at a festive Diwali party, before the creamy tuberose takes over. The dry-down is woody and earthy, with sandalwood and vetiver keeping the sweetness in check. It feels confident, sensual and a little dangerous. Lovely for winter evenings and celebrations. Beginner-friendly for spice lovers; if you found the original too sweet, this is the one to try.
