Composition
Givenchy launched L'Interdit Eau de Parfum in 2018 as a modern revival of its 1957 classic. The composition pairs radiant tuberose and orange blossom with a deep patchouli, vanilla and vetiver base. It is a sweet, woody-floral white-floral fragrance for women.
Imagine walking into a marigold-and-tuberose flower market at dusk — intoxicating white blooms, slightly spicy, with an almost forbidden sweetness underneath. That's the opening: juicy pear and bergamot give way to a big, creamy tuberose heart that feels like a wedding garland gone glamorous. As it settles, earthy patchouli and warm vanilla ground it into something sultry and confident. It wears like an evening silk outfit — bold, warm, and very present. Great for nights out and winter; a bit much for a hot May afternoon. Beginner-friendly if you love sweet florals — sample first if tuberose scares you.
