Composition
A glowing amber-floral in the Baccarat Rouge 540 mold, formerly sold as Baroque Rouge 540. Jasmine grandiflorum and saffron open radiant and exotic, melting into a heart of bitter almond and cedarwood. Woody notes, musk and ambergris give the dry-down warmth and luminous depth.
To me this smells like an old library with tall teak shelves, grandiflorum jasmine and saffron drifting through dust lit by a single window. And then the middle opens: bitter almond and cedarwood, quietly confident, like a second act. And the cedarwood never quite leaves, smooth as poured honey. By evening all that remains is woods, musk and ambergris, steady as a heartbeat. The whole thing feels like a warm kitchen and an open door. Beginner-friendly — an easy first step into this style.
